The names of "Dark World" monsters are mostly based on colors, many of which feature prominently in their artwork and their army positions. The English names are based on the words for the colors with letters added and removed. The Japanese names are based on the transcriptions of the English words for the colors with one or more morae deleted. The Chinese names are combinations of the color names and transcription/transliteration of English or Japanese words, in terms of phonetics.

Today, here at the end of 2022, a lot’s changed about the game we love. Xyz Monsters are now a vast toolbox of options, hundreds of cards deep. Link Monsters didn’t exist at all when Grapha first hit the scene, and many of them are now combo powerhouses.This section will show exactly which effects are activated with any "Dark World" monster's discard. Dark World Accesiongives you access to the new, upgraded version of Grapha too, re-emerging as a Fusion Monster called Grapha, Dragon Over Lord of Dark World. With 3200 ATK and an effect that can revive your fallen Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark Worldeven if it’s been banished. Underworld Goddess of the Closed World (3000 ATK, Link 5) requires 4+ Effect Monsters to join the dark party but one monster can come from those the opponent controls. Once the Underworld Goddess is link summoned, the effects of all face-up monsters the opponent currently controls are negated.
