As I said, no one is wrong for wanting or not wanting these things; both are right when looked at from their own perspective and situation. But sadly, there was way too much of that and not enough of the rom com vibe, so it didn’t work for me. However, it doesn't take away from the story as their undeniable attraction and sexual compatibility is the basis of their relationship. The disappointing bit for me were the inconsistencies, mostly with the days that things happened but also “would you like a cup of tea?

I saw that this was recommended by some GR friends, it was on Kindle Unlimited and on the surface I was into the tropes - older, single, stern dad hires younger nanny (I love me some big age gap romances), a bit of isolation, some funny setups. Let’s just say, I was expecting Rom Com Road, but unexpectedly, my journey actually took me to Alphahole Lane, a special subdivision of Romancelandia that I don’t cruise by very often and …. Having listened to The Miles High Club and Play Along, sorry but this book just didn't do it for me. Having said that, I was shocked, though, when they did sexual things under the blanket a few times while they were watching TV with the children – that was gross in my opinion! A fantastic love story between Julian and Brielle and at one point didn't think we would have a happy ending.

Now, if you get past the above issues and are ready for the book, let me give you some more ideas about it and don’t worry, it will be a spoiler-free review.

However, even with this is mind this book was the EXACT palette cleanser I needed coming off of throne of glass. That’s why, I normally do not read about couples with such age difference but I was somehow drawn to this book.
