She studied Fashion at Central Saint Martins, accidentally had a London based career as an Art Director in advertising, then completed an MA at University of Brighton in Illustration. It's still great for some giggles, especially if this book was read by a grandparent to their grandchild.She is an eccentric character who loves dressing in all black and glitzy earrings and has a fond addictive love of sherbet lemon sweets. Bad Nana decided to take actions against the rules by using something in her purse while Jeanie and Jack kept a lookout for the park keeper. In this vibrant new illustrated series by Sophy Henn, readers are introduced to Jeanie and her very large family, including a rather naughty nanny.

Bad Nana: Older Not Wiser is neatly divided in to three chapters – three perfect bedtime reading chunks. It’s a fantastic independent book seller that will actually be responsive and select appropriate books for you.

So it is of no surprise that a visit to the park and a class trip to the local history museum don’t go as smoothly as perhaps they should. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything. Bad Nana always dresses in black, from the top of her head to the tip of her shoes and on super-special occasions she adds a sparkly pink turban. The second in Sophy Henn's bright and brilliant series about a subversive turban-wearing grandma is just as funny as the first, with some life-affirming messages about the benefits of being an idiosyncratic, independent and courageous Nana - and what a role model a strong older relative can be for little ones.

Bad Nana: Older not wiser is a brightly illustrated delight for children beginning to read chapter books as it is split into three sections. Messages on friendship and bullying are sensitively explored throughout and there is a lovely moment towards the end where Jeanie takes inspiration from her Bad Nana and speaks out. With no super powers other than maybe her ginormous handbag filled with rubber chickens, lemon sherbets and everything else besides, Bad Nana is ready to foil any authority figures attempting to leech the fun out of life. Veel leuke knalroze illustraties, niet al te veel tekst maar genoeg om een leuk verhaal te vertellen. This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally).

Similar to Henn's Pizazz with big font (some bigger and bolder than others for emphasis) and illustrations on almost every page, but I didn't find the story as funny as Pizazz. but then it made some things like a whole page devoted to the contents of her hand bag pretty uninteresting as it wasn't exactly like she had a devil's totem or a pet spider or anything in there! The pictures were somewhat funny although I found a mistake in at least one and I wasn't looking too hard.
